Theia Healing Therapies
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese healing technique meaning ‘universal life force energy’.
This healing system was developed by Mikao Usui in the early 20 th Century.
It is a non-invasive complimentary therapy where bio magnetic energy passes through the
practitioner’s hands. This energy flow can stimulate healing processes within the body.
Reiki is suitable for everyone and has a variety of benefits such as enhanced energy flow, stress reduction,
a sense of balance and well being, emotional healing and much more.
Reiki energy assists unblocking our chakra system allowing the energy to flow freely.
During a reiki session, the recipient will be welcomed into the therapy room and asked to lie on the therapy bed. Reiki does not require the removal of any clothing with the exception of outdoor jackets and footwear. The reiki session will begin and the recipient will receive the bio magnetic energy.
Sensations can be felt by the recipient during the session. These include a tingling feeling throughout the body or even a subtle change in temperature, ranging from warm sensations to a tranquil coolness. Others may experience just a lovely wave of relaxation.
After the session, the effects of Reiki may last for a number of days.
Animal Reiki
Animals communicate in a much different way to us.
They naturally have a better understanding of energy than their human counterparts.
They too suffer from illness and injury especially high drive working bred animals who are extremely active.
They also have the same chakra system as humans.
The ICRT Animal Reiki Master energy has a unique frequency specifically for the animals.
As we know Reiki can provide a deep relaxation, reducing stress and anxiety levels.
It assists in healing physical, emotional or spiritual blockages within the chakra system.
It eliminates blockages, leaving a feeling of wellbeing and balance, creating a deeper bond between the animal and human.
Within Reiki two way communication between the animal and reiki practitioner does not exist. However as an Animal Communicator we do have the ability to receive two way communication, allowing the animal to guide us and provide further information. With a background in working police dogs, we benefit from having the ability to read the canine’s physical behaviour during the session too.
Reiki also helps support end of life care for animals. Euthanasia is such a tough decision for any animal lover to make about their best friend, however it is the most selfless and compassionate.
Reiki healing prior to arranged euthanasia, helps in relieving stress, assisting with pain reduction and allowing the animal additional comfort. If the animal is being euthanised at home, Theia Healing Therapies can attend and provide Reiki prior to the arranged appointment.
Theia Healing Therapies have personally experienced the positive impact Reiki
healing had prior to pet euthanasia.
Karuna Reiki
Karuna Reiki is an advanced Reiki Therapy defined as the Reiki of Compassion.
It was developed by William Lee Rand and other healers in the 1990’s at
The International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT).
Karuna is a Sanskrit word and is used in Hinduism, Buddhism and Zen.
It is translated to indicate any action that is taken to diminish the suffering of others and more specifically means “compassionate action.”
"When individuals experience enlightenment, they report all beings are known as one. Therefore, it is natural to extend compassionate action or Karuna to everyone without distinction because we are all one."
- William Lee Rand
Theia Healing Therapies work with 8 unique symbols
used in Karuna Reiki to channel compassionate energy from the universe, releasing blockages caused by emotional pain and trauma.
This aids the recipient to feel a greater emotional balance and mental clarity.
Karuna Reiki promotes spiritual growth and like Reiki,
it offers healing for mind, body and soul.
Karuna Reiki can be incorporated into a Holy Fire Reiki session.
Animal Communication
Animals communicate intuitively,
they are deeply spiritual beings with an inner knowing.
They are sensitive and aware of our feelings.
As an animal communicator,
we connect to the animal’s energy allowing them to share information with us.
This allows us as humans the opportunity to really get to know our animals in a deeper capacity and see life from their perspective.
Animals have shown us 3 aura layers, physical, emotional and spiritual.
Using colours,
they can educate us on their health, emotional wellness and spiritual connections.
With a better insight into their world, we can help resolve any underlying issues or misunderstandings, relieving stress and improving their experiences in our human environment. This creates a solid bond between human and animal.
Theia Healing Therapies has undergone colour therapy and meditation courses to compliment communication work.
Theia Healing Therapies use a photograph of the animal to conduct a communication session.
It is imperative the environment is free from noise and distraction.
Hence, photographic communication is preferred rather than in person with the animal. There is preparation work before the communication session begins.
Therefore, calm, peaceful surroundings are beneficial.
Once the communication session is complete,
Theia Healing Therapies will contact the person by telephone and video call,
providing information and feedback from the session.
